Since AI came in, I have been inundated by emails from ‘people’ purporting to have read one of my books, or that think my writing sounds amazing. Not only have they been ‘too good to be true‘, but it has also become difficult to decide if any of the messages are genuine or whether to respond.
What do I do to check?
I always check any website independently. Never clicking on links but typing them in Google!
I always check names independently on the internet too, to see if they have a genuine profile. They rarely do.
There is often no web address on the message either. Odd when they purport to offer author services or a review, don’t you think?

Safe blogging to you, but, just as in life when you are travelling, keep your wits about you at all times!
