    I had a look on https://www.old-maps.co.uk, and belive this is now were the post box is in Poole Road, looking down the lane way, towards Manor Road South.

      The area has changed so much. I expect many newcomers don’t realise that Itchen Village was a place distinctive to Woolston. Thanks for the information. It will help other readers too. Brilliant delving. 🙂
