Mac Logan is also a Scottish author who lives in Fife, along the coast towards East Neuk.
This is a thriller of gangsters, corrupt public officials, a family in exile and the good guy on the run. The scene is set in the Ulster underworld where right and wrong blurs. A man, who is both father and son to someone, is assassinated; a priest pacified; the morality of the act left for judgment day.
Next the novel reverberates to crime ridden London where corruption is uncovered by Sam’s sister Eilidh, who then vanishes. Sam travels to London in search of her, thus putting his own family risk.
Escaping his own fate by returning to Bonnie Scotland, Sam does his best to hold the whole situation together …
Angel’s Cut is a well written gripping tale. You feel empathy for Sam who is at the centre of the plot. A great read and I look forward to the next in the series.
