I have to admit to forgetting to update my author photo for years! I am not fond of having my photo taken. My husband is pretty good at catching me when I’m relaxed and so, when he took this photo when we were away for our wedding anniversary last December in Harrogate, I thought, why not. What do you think?
I must admit, I look really cheerful and relaxed. We were having a meal at The Fat Badger on our actual celebration. I love this one below too, but think I can get away with raising a glass, but not standing next to a badger for an author photo!!

On Facebook, a couple of people remarked that I appear to be getting younger. That got me thinking. I think I am still recognisable from this photo with my sister, when I must have been about 4 years old:
Just in case you can’t work it out, I’m the goofy one on the left!!

The scene is set, for this mid 19th century novella, in North East Scotland in the small village of Dunphail. The story leads us to the Channel Island of Alderney, off the coast of Cherbourg.
This is my parents’ novella, edited by myself, released in memory of them both.
It is the prequel to Riduna and Ancasta.
