Reviews Arrive by a Variety of Modes ~ Revel in them all! 5 STARS *****

thank youI’ve received three reviews in the past week for ‘The Healing Paths of Fife.

The first review I’m thrilled about was by email and is now on Amazon:

Benbo

12 January 2018

Format: Paperback|Verified Purchase
‘I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book; chosen because of an ancestral interest in Fife. I have walked the coastal path where the author was drawn to and can understand how her imaginative mind become active. It is for me a book that I shall read more than once for I need to visit Fife in mind and body as often as possible.’

The second one was spoken directly by a lady in the Burgh who is in Kinghorn in Bloom.

‘I loved your novel. It was one of those books which you could curl up with on the sofa and just enjoy. Heart warming!’

The third review came over the phone by a college lecturer I’ve kept in touch with over the years from Keswick Hall College of Education. (is it really over 40 since I entered college life?) Now, it is the first time I’ve spoken to this man for several years.

‘Your writing is very beautiful Diana. A most unusual book.’

Many thanks to all of you who take the trouble to write reviews, ring or even say what you think in person about novels. All authors everywhere are eternally grateful because many of us suffer from a lack of confidence and it inspires us to continue writing.

ps My next novel is all but complete now. How exciting!!!

Warning ~ A Scam or a Breach of Copyright

Dear folks

It has come to my notice that there are a couple of sites offering my latest book as an e-book. You can find them on a google search for

From Redundancy to Rejuvenation

A Writer’s Fantasy Walk Along The Fife Coastal Path.’

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON’T CLICK DOWNLOAD.

My latest book has never been legally converted for Kindle or any other e reader and Eventispress have only sent the PDF to Amazon and a local printers Berforts for a print run.

The likelihood is that this is:

  • at best an infringement of copyright
  • possibly a scam
  • or at worst some kind of malware

There is no date as yet for the release of this book for any kind of e reader.

It can however be ordered in paperback format at any bookshop and it is also available on line through Waterstones, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk

First Written Review for my new book

I have done little to promote my new book

‘From Redundancy to Rejuvenation ~ A Writer’s Fantasy Walk Along The Fife Coastal Path’ as yet but I received this text yesterday which lifted my spirits.

“Opened yer book this morning and was taken to places in the Kingdom of Fife. Some Familiar and some not so. What a journey! You had me fixed from beginning to end. So enjoyed your pilgrimage and felt I was travelling with you throughout your journey. LOVED IT. X

I’m so chuffed!

My plans for this book are very different to previous novels which, although all of them were for sale at various points in several bookshops in their hey-day, the main sales were on-line.

From next month I will be contacting bookshops, visiting them where I can, leaving leaflets and in some I will leave a free copy. This memoir/fantasy is a very tactile tome and is meant to be held with kindness and anticipation.

I will let you know over the months ahead how I get on. I, alongside the efforts of Eventispress, will continue to tell you more about the book on social media – especially on my other blog http://www.selectionsofreflections.wordpress.com, but my primary goal is to reach bookshops.

Thus it will not be for sale on Kindle for the foreseeable future. (More detailed reasons explained in my next blog post)
